Hot Striped Pants

This is a drawing I made for my monthly column in The Guardian. It began as a painting, with refinements later added in Procreate. I like the drawing because of the composition of the woman, the blend of graphic patterns with organic shapes. It also invites its own narrative: is it a hot, heavy night? Is it charged with desire, or haunted by a nightmare? The scene is loaded with sensation, yet open to your own interpretation.
